Opinions and ideas are clearly stated and supported with adequate details or experiences. Varied sentence sturcture makes writing enjoyable to read.

Opinions and ideas are unclear since few details were included. Information is unrelated to topic.

Demonstrates limited ability to express ideas and opinions.

Writing Mechanics

Ideas are clearly written in complete sentences, properly spaced, with minimal punctuation and capitalization errors. Appropriate spelling skills are applied.

Ideas are adequately written in complete sentences, properly spaced, with few punctuation and capitalization errors. Adequate spelling skills are applied.

Ideas are unclear. Words are improperly spaced with numerous punctuation and capitalization errors. Few spelling skills are applied. Sentence structure is weak.
